Chinese Provincial Furniture.
Focusing on provincial furniture of the late Qing Dynasty (early 1800 – early 1900), Chinese Provincial Antiques by Kimberly R. Hessler provides a detailed comparison between styles of furniture that often served multiple purposes. Organized into eight provinces and their particular fashions, photographic illustrations and accompanying text detail the construction and artistic differences between furniture with functional similarities.
